SYACAMORE ROAD, TIVERTON, ENGLAND, UK

Sycamore Road is a residential development in Tiverton, commissioned by Mid Devon District Council. The design responds to the site’s natural levels, forming a compact arrangement of buildings around a shared courtyard space.
The project follows UK standards and integrates sustainable features such as PV panels on roof surfaces. It includes refuse storage areas and a secure 2-tier cycle shelter, supporting efficient and environmentally conscious living.
Architecturally, the buildings utilize a combination of metal cladding and rendered finishes, with pitched roofs incorporating solar panels. The central courtyard acts as a communal landscaped area, complemented by defined pedestrian paths and parking provisions. External staircases are fabricated as metal stairs using hot-rolled steel with anti-slip chequer plates.
The development includes 10 larger units (56.36 sq.m) and 6 smaller units (27.87 sq.m), distributed across ground and upper levels.
All units are designed with essential amenities including kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Total number of units: 16
